Upon completion of work you will provided a Certificate of Cleaning and a comprehensive TB/009 Grease Extract Cleaning Report, ensuring that you have the correct documentation to validate your insurance.

We carry out a Wet Film Thickness test to assess the level of grease build up in your extraction system. The results of this are used to recommend a cleaning schedule that ensures cost effectiveness and insurance complience.

Fire Safety

70% of fires in commercial kitchens are a result of grease build up in the ventilation systems.

A fire that spreads within the canopy and ductwork is often inaccessible in areas making them notoriously difficult to extinguish, leading to the rest of the building being at risk of being compromised by fire.

Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety 2005), you must include the extract system in your fire risk assessment with action taken to minimise fire risk to your building and its occupants.

We provide recommendations on how to improve the fire safety of your ventilation system.

Commonly, we supply and install access panels that are used for access for cleaning and removing the grease. Access panels are also important as they can be removed to extinguish a fire in your system.

Hygiene

Without proper cleaning, grease build up in your canopy and ventilation system will promote the growth of harmful bacteria.

Mould and bacteria build up in your ventilation system causes a risk to health for both your employees and customers.

Following a cleaning schedule as defined by the table above will mitigate these risks to your business.

Fan Breakdown

The leading cause of fan breakdowns that we attend are a result of grease build up in between the fan blade impeller and outer casing, causing resistance and the motor to burn out.

Frequently this will be due to not following the correct recommended cleaning schedule as outlined in the table above, or unfortunately the clients have used contractors that have not correctly cleaned the fan.

This is often avoidable and subsequently leads to unwanted costs to clients.

We always carry out work to the highest standard, making your system insurance compliant, fire safe, hygienic and protected against system breakdowns.
